The colors used by liftmaster and sears craftsman are red, orange, yellow, purple, and white. If you cannot find the learn button on the overhead motor look for a set of 9 rocker switches or dip switches that you can set the code to. The first two letters on the serial tag give you Month, Year. Example serial number: LT221102. LT221102 – L = month – June. LT221102 – T = year 1986 or 1998. LT was built June 1998 or June 1986.
