So I've got this thingy for a week now and just can't get it to work properly. My goal is to transfer VHS content onto my PC. The VCR I have is a SONY SLV-SE 740. Two SCART outs and cinch audio (red/white). My PC is pretty good component-wise but it runs Win 10. The software I'm using is the bundled Power Director 12. Also, I'm in Europe, if that plays any major role.
-I've tried to hook up the VCR using cinch to SCART adapter, not getting the picture nor the audio in the Power Director.
-I've tried to hook up those audio cables only, I'm getting the audio in PD.
-I've tried some weird combination where I connect the VCR and the TV with the antenna cable, and tried to hook up the VC500 with the TV using SCART. Doesn't work.
All the solutions and answers I have searched for online are just confusing me, to say the least. Couldn't extract any sufficient info out of them. So I ask here, am I missing something?

If your Windows is 64BIT then you would open the X64 folder. If it is 32BIT then you would open the X86 folder

Once you are in the right folder you will need to make sure the VC500 is plugged into the computer and double click on the setup64 file to install the driver.
